“It was Great!” - On September 27, 2014, the Choctawhatchee High School Classes of 1953-1960 held combined Reunion at The Palms of Destin. This was a Dinner event and was attended by 200+ people. Having never used The Palms before-or knowing anyone who had-at the beginning, we were somewhat apprehensive as to how the event would turn out. However, in making arrangements with your employees we gained assurance that the event would turn out well, and we were not disappointed-"it was GREAT!!!" We want to send a BIG thank you to all your staff involved. We'd particularly like to compliment a number of your outstanding employees who were extremely helpful/cooperative - Tommy Browning, Marketing; Alexis Massey, Director of Events; Matt Sparks, Chef; and Bruce Blackshear, Security. It was obvious that Mrs. Massey is well-experienced in handling large events such as ours and we appreciate her helpful suggestions regarding the menu and room set-up as well as her outstanding oversight of the event. Our event coordinator, Ms. Jean Gray, spoke with Chef Sparks prior to the event and he gave her assurance that the food would be great and we wouldn't run out - we received many compliments on the fabulous food enjoyed by all! Mr. Blackshear provided helpful guidance to our arriving classmates regarding parking and the event room location. Also, he provided assistance to our committee for various things, including set up for class pictures. Thank you for the excellent service we received in helping to make this event successful and memorable - your organization is very fortunate to have employees of such caliber!
